Welcome to Screen Acting Technique for Teens at Acting Performance Studio—a dynamic class designed for students in Years 7-10. This Term, we focus on building a strong foundation in screen acting, empowering students to develop the skills and techniques needed to excel in the world of screen performance. It's a fantastic opportunity for teens to meet new friends, build confidence, and dive deep into the craft of acting for screen.

Exploring Screen Acting Techniques

In this class, students will gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of screen acting. They’ll learn what it takes to film a self-tape audition, including key elements such as lighting, camera framing, and eye-line for the camera. They will also learn how to stay present and connected with the reader during self-tape scenarios, enhancing the authenticity of their performance. This Term is designed to build a strong foundation in Acting Technique for Screen, giving teens the tools to approach performances with confidence and professionalism.

Improvisation

Each week, we kick things off with fun improvisation games to warm up, providing the perfect refresh after school. These energetic games not only loosen up the mind and body but also enhance spontaneity and creativity, helping teens sharpen their acting instincts in a playful and supportive setting.

Green Screen Adventures

One of the exciting highlights of this Term is the opportunity to explore Green Screen technology. Students will step into fantastic, imaginary worlds and learn how to interact with their surroundings in a Green Screen environment. This hands-on experience will give them a unique insight into how screen actors bring stories to life through digital magic.
