Harrison Lane
Resume
Harrison Lane is a Melbourne based Director and Actor and has been teaching acting for several years.
During his time studying at VCA for his Bachelors in Directing for Film and TV he wrote and directed festival favorite shorts "The Ghoulies" and "A Mouth to Feed". He was awarded as Lead Director in the inaugural webseries Initiative started by VCA in 2019, where he led his fellow peers from all creative faculties of the university (from actors to screenwriters, musicians and production designers) in creating the webseries "Tech Inc. Global", which had its debut at the following year's Melbourne Webfest.
Post University, Harrison continued broadening his ability to tell stories in unique ways. He formed a production house alongside several peers and directed episodes in the Sexual Health comedy series "Undergarment Odysseys".
That same production house would continue to produce more short films under the name Crispy Yoghurt, where Harrison and his team would create absurdist, comedic and perhaps slightly disturbing shorts that always challenged viewers' expectations.
Harrisons most recent projects include Music Videos for the Melbourne Band Unscored. He directed their debut Music Video "Cowboy", which had a long run in the the festival circuit, featuring in over 30 festivals across the world and snagging wins both nationally and internationally.
Directing Music Videos has been Harrisons most enjoyed creative experience as he believes the most emotional storytelling is told visually.
