Part Time Acting Course

Our part time course teaches the foundations central to our full-time program, whilst allowing actors time for other work during the week.

Application is by audition or invitation, prior to each of the four terms.

Our part time program includes:


• Shakespeare and contemporary monologue unit

• Stanislavski text study

• Laban Movement Analysis

• Focus on voice, movement and improv

• Screentest, audition techniques

• Head of full time Course as core tutor

Work with expert guest tutors of the highest calibre

Greater comprehension of yourself and your artistic process

• An opportunity to attend a 2-week workshop at the Stella Adler Studio, LA

• An opportunity to win a 1-year Stella Adler scholarship, offered to a paticipant of the LA workshop


Term 1


Term 1 is the foundation term focusing on voice, movement and character. Techniques taught include Stanislavski-based text exercises and Laban Movement Analysis.

Term 2


Students will explore a range of processes required to bring a monologue to life. Expert rehearsal techniques for Shakespearean and contemporary monologues will be examined, preparing students for upcoming auditions.

Term 3


This term focuses on camera technique and mastering a process for screen tests. Come away fearless and prepared for the demands of a cinema actor.

Term 4


Term 4 is the production unit. Students will be directed in a short play in front of an invited audience as part of their graduation.

Entry requirements:


Application is by audition and interview.


Applicants will be asked to prepare a monologue of their choice to perform for the audition panel.

 Students must be at least 17yrs of age by course commencement date.

Students must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Once the ‘register to audition’ from is completed and returned along with the non-refundable $20 processing fee, applicants will receive an audition pack. This pack will contain all the information required for the upcoming audition including time, date, location and monologue suggestions.


Please note: if you are auditioning for the full time program the audition processing fee is $40, not $20.


During the audition, time will be provided for any questions applicants may have about the audition process or our training.

Course costs and due dates: $3,160 + GST
